LG Launches Optimus One Limited Edition for Cricket World Cup



LG has announced a
limited edition World Cup
Cricket 2011 version of
Optimus One Android
smartphone in Indian
market. This limited
edition Optimus One
comes with shiny gold
World Cup logo engraved
on it back of the
smartphone. It is available
for a price of INR 12990
right now. There will only
be 1000 units on sale in
eight Indians major cities.

Nokia N950 to be the First MeeGo Smartphone by Nokia



When the deal goes final
between Nokia and
Microsoft, everyone
doubted that Nokia will
left the MeeGo and
Symbian mobile OSs. But
its not true and now
Nokia has confirmed
through a talk from CTO
Rich Green that the first
MeeGo device will be
released this year. That
device will be the Nokia
N950.
Currently this handset has
very few details and even
no pictures but this will
be available this year.

Sometime back Nokia was
planning to launched the
Nokia N9 as first MeeGo
phone and here also a
chance that the Nokia
N950 will become launch
as Nokia N9. Nokia N950
will be the first and may
be only MeeGo-powered
smartphone from Nokia.
Remember a few weeks
ago Nokia announced
officially that it would
move towards Windows
Phone 7 as its primary
mobile operating system
for smartphones and
everyone fears about the
futures of Symbian and
MeeGo. But now we can
hope for them at least
fear year more. Though
Nokia also has another
smartphone OS, Maemo
which was comes in Nokia
N900.
The Nokia CTO Rich Green
has confirmed about the
Nokia N950 MeeGo-
powered smartphone.
According to him, Nokia
planning to make the
phone available on the
market before end of this
year. Nokia N950 MeeGo-
powered smartphone will
be a high-end phone.
